The Pupil Premium is additional funding for publicly funded schools in England to raise the attainment of disadvantaged pupils and close the gap between them and their peers.
At St Jude’s C of E Primary Academy, we have high aspirations for all of our children and we believe that no child should be left behind and have access to the same opportunities and ambitions.
We are determined that no child’s background, social or economic situation should be a barrier to their achievement, experiences and success. Pupil premium funding, along with allocations made from the schools own budget will help ensure this money is spent to maximum effect.
We carefully plan provision to ensure that all our pupils receive the extra support they need to achieve their potential, which is outlined in our Pupil Premium Strategy.
Further support is also given to pupils who may require sessions to develop their confidence, communication and social interaction.
